Musical Overview

Inspired by Peter H. Reynolds’ enchanting story The North Star, the North Star Musical Journey carries a timeless message for children of all ages. This musical is a captivating musical performance designed for elementary school children, though it can be adapted for younger or older performers.

Created with the musical expertise of Colorado musician and teacher Tim Beckman, this production is both easy to stage and profoundly moving, making it a perfect culmination to a graduation year.

Premiering on April 17, 2000, at the Union Colony Civic Center in Greeley, Colorado, the musical was brought to life by the incredible talent and dedication of 300 students and their teachers at S. Christa McAuliffe Elementary School.
